As the Owner/Broker of Hasty Realty, with over 30 years of experience in the local real estate market, I have the expertise to help you with all of your real estate needs. As a REALTOR I work to ensure that homeownership is still a valuable piece of the American Dream and commit my time and energy to ensure Scotland County is a great place for people to live, work, and raise a family. Laurinburg is a 3-time recipient of the All-America City Award. I was honored to serve as the Chairman of the 2003 Laurinburg All-America City Committee as well as a Past-President of the Laurinburg Board of REALTORS and currently serve as a member of the Insurance Committee of the National Association of REALTORS and a member of the Forms Committee of NC REALTORS.

I have been dedicated to the growth of our community since I moved here in 1986.  I was elected to the Scotland County Board of Commissioners in 2006 and served for 12 years.  I am a Past-President of the Laurinburg Rotary Club and Past-Chair of the Chamber of Commerce, Scotland County Parks and Recreation Advisory Board and Scotland Memorial Foundation. I have also served as a member of the Department of Social Services Board and the Board of Trustees of First United Methodist Church in Laurinburg. I continue to actively work to bring jobs and investment to our community and am proud to have served as the Chairman of the Scotland County Economic Development Corporation.

I am married to Maxton, NC native, Flora Hasty McCook who is currently employed in marketing at Scotland Health Care System and we are the parents of two amazing, wonderful, exceptional daughters – Currie (Michael and Laura Hasty) and Natalie, both graduates of NC State University. My parents, Roy and Carolyn McCook are residents of Scotia Village, having moved to Laurinburg to retire after a life of ministry as missionaries in Latin America.
